Oro Verde (ASX:OVL) has found promise at a gold project located in south eastern Nicaragua with a rock chip sample collected, returning assays of 89.3 g/t gold 100 g/t silver from the laboratory results.
The Topacio Gold Project was first mined in the late 1890's.
The company recently reported similarly high grades of 33.6 g/t gold, 38.5 g/t gold and 23.5 g/t gold from the Dos Amigos vein.
Promisingly, panning of veined material by artisanal miners at the project from the footwall of the East Mico vein resulted in visible fine grained gold being found.
The project boasts a historical Canadian NI 43-101 standard Inferred Resource of 340,345 ounces of gold grading at 3.9 g/t gold.
